Perinatal
Perinatal mental health refers to the mental health of a woman during pregnancy and up to one year after childbirth. It is an important and often overlooked aspect of a woman's overall health. Perinatal mental health issues can include depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. This season is uniquely difficult. Our clinicians have specialty training and experience in helping women navigate this uniquely difficult season of life.
Trauma
PTSD, or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, is a mental health condition that is triggered by a traumatic event. Symptoms of PTSD include flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance of reminders of the event, negative changes in mood and thoughts, and changes in physical and emotional reactions. PTSD can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or culture. It can be treated through cognitive-behavioral therapy, medications, or a combination of both.
Anxiety
Anxiety is a common mental health issue that affects people of all ages. It can cause physical symptoms such as increased heart rate, difficulty breathing, and muscle tension. People with anxiety often feel overwhelmed, worried, or scared. It can be triggered by stressful situations or events, but can also be caused by genetic or environmental factors. With the right treatment and support, it is possible to manage anxiety and lead a healthy, happy life.
Anxiety
Depression
Depression is a serious mental health condition that affects millions of people around the world. It can cause a variety of physical and emotional symptoms, including feelings of sadness, hopelessness, irritability, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating. Depression can be caused by a number of factors, including genetics, trauma, and changes in hormones. With appropriate care, those suffering from depression can learn to manage their symptoms and lead a healthy, fulfilling life.
